The Purstring™ 45 single use instrument places a circumferential strand of 2-0 SURGIDAC™ nonabsorbable braided polyester surgical suture, U.S.P., held in place by stainless steel staples.

The Purstring™ 65 single use instrument places a circumferential strand of 2-0 MONOSOF™ nonabsorbable monofilament nylon surgical suture, U.S.P., held in place by stainless steel staples.

The stainless steel staples are attached to the structure or organ where a purse-string is desired. The instrument is activated by squeezing the ring handles.
